Ody-sea is a 16mm cyanotype film created collaboratively with a group of ten artists explorating the seashore as a living, material archive. Through experimental use of the cyanotype process, the project engaged with organic materials and various artifacts collected along the beach to document the residues of organic and non-organic bodies accumulating on the shore. This collective effort aimed to assemble a "bestiary" of the seashore, capturing the interplay between natural and human-made debris.

The film was developed alongside a series of cyanotype prints, both of which reflect on the material and temporal layers present in coastal environments. By examining the seashore as a site of both accumulation and transformation, Ody-sea invites viewers to consider the shifting nature of landscape and its role as a repository of memory, ecology, and history.

The project was produced as part of the ‘Under the Same Sun‘ residency organised by A.MAL Collective in March 2022.
