Working along Lake Oulfa, the largest urban basin in Morocco, this workshop invited a group of children from a neighbouring school to create water maps using the lake’s water and various discarded objects found on it’s shore. Using the cyanotype process, these maps were printed onto paper and large pieces of fabric which reflected the various objects, sounds, materials and natural elements that constitute the lake’s environment.
This workshop took place as part of the 13th edition of the art and residency program ‘La Serre Al Firdaous‘ organised by the Atelier de l’Observatoire and in collaboration with the Bab Al Firdaous elementary school.
