Chutes is an experimental animation collectively created with a group of young people from Tangier. Using fabric offcuts and various scrap materials, the film explores the materiality of discarded objects, bits and pieces found around the old medina of Tangier.
The scraps we collected around the medina were then carefully placed onto strips of 16mm film pre-coated with a cyanotype gelatin emulsion and exposed to the sunlight in order to leave their marks on the film strip.
